Sergey Stepashin visits Hanoi in the context of strategic partnership with Vietnam Lawyers Association

On April 22-24, 2024, as part of the Strategic Cooperation Agreement between the Association of Lawyers of Russia and the Vietnam Lawyers Association, the ALRF delegation paid a working visit to Vietnam.

The delegation headed by the Chairman of the ALRF Sergey Stepashin, was received by the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh.

In addition, representatives of the Association met with with Deputy Minister of Justice of Vietnam Nguyen Khanh Ngoc, Chairman of the Supreme People‘s Court of Vietnam Nguyen Hoa Binh, as well as the leadership of the Vietnam Lawyers Association and Hanoi Law University to discuss prospects of legal cooperation between two countries.

The delegation was joined by Alexey Klishin, member of the ALRF Presidium, and Cha Mi Vu, Head of the ALRF Department for International Development.

Following the visit, the Associations issued a joint statement outlining their further plan of activities. The Chairman of the Association invited his Vietnamese colleague to visit Russia and to attend the XII Saint Petersburg International Legal Forum and IX BRICS Legal Forum to be held later in 2024.
